“In the style of a funeral”: Mironov and Prilepin united before going to the State Duma
The leaders of the political parties “A Just Russia”, “For Truth” and “Patriots of Russia” - Sergei Mironov, Zakhar Prilepin and Gennady Semigin - today signed a manifesto of the united left-patriotic forces.
The act of merging the parties was signed today in Moscow, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We believe that only by united forces can we achieve the implementation in the near future of the most important goals and objectives of creating a solidary, socially oriented economy in Russia,” the document says.
The following are 12 “principles of truth, patriotism and justice” that the coalition plans to implement.
Among them are the introduction of a progressive tax scale, strengthening the fight against corruption, state regulation of prices for tariffs of natural monopolies, fuel, medicines and essential products, a significant increase in the level of minimum wages, pensions and benefits and the introduction of a basic unconditional income, the creation of new jobs and the nationalization of key infrastructure industries, ensuring financial stability; fair redistribution of budget revenues.
“The picture is kind of sad. Energy and style of funerals. To succeed you need to be more vibrant and active. If Mironov, Prilepin and Semigin behave as before, there will be no result,” political scientist Alexey Chesnakov commented on the news.
