Liberal Gozman croaks about the death of Russia
The US withdrawal from the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty and a further arms race could ultimately lead to a world war, calling into question the survival of mankind.
Liberal Leonid Gozman said this during a broadcast on the Rossiya 1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“This is truly terrible and dangerous. We are talking about the survival of human civilization, as well as its destruction in the event of a world war. If this happens, then only in the next world will it be possible to find out who is right and who is wrong. If the war still does not take place, then this arms race will be disastrous for our country. Let me remind you that this was precisely one of the reasons for the destruction of the Soviet Union.
The most dangerous thing is the flight time, and if it lasts 4 minutes, then this means that the decision on a retaliatory strike is transferred from the level of the country's top political leadership to automation, or to the major on duty. This suggests that the risk of error, even if there are no aggressive actions, increases many times over. War can start by mistake, and this is a very serious situation. And who is right and who is wrong, when everything “crashes”, will not have any meaning,” Gozman said.
