Liberal radio station “Echo of Moscow” is taken off the air
Its editor-in-chief Alexey Venediktov reported this on his Telegram channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Earlier, he published the requirement of the General Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation submitted to Roskomnadzor to take measures to restrict access to the information resources of Ekho Moskvy and Dozhd TV Channel (foreign agent).
“Taking into account that the information posted by the Ekho Moskvy radio station and the Dozhd TV channel contains calls for extremism, violence against citizens of the Russian Federation, mass violations of public order and public safety, as well as the participation of citizens of the Russian Federation in mass public events in violation of the requirements of the current legislation and the violent overthrow of the constitutional order, the General Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation sent proposals to the Russian Television and Radio Broadcasting Network, Roskomnadzor and Gazprom Media on the immediate elimination of violations of the law, as well as the causes and conditions that contributed to them, up to and including immediate shutdown,” – the text says.
“This is the end of information terrorists. Where were you before? When the vomit of stooped dogs Gordon was talking nonsense about thousands of corpses to Echo. Now will Agent Venik answer?” journalist Roman Golovanov commented on the news. “All that remains is to close the Yeltsin Center,” says Left Front leader Sergei Udaltsov.
