Liberal MPs attack 'cops' for not arresting them
The Association of Municipal Deputies of Moscow urgently gathered for a congress in protest against the recent dispersal of a similar event held by Open Russia, an undesirable organization in Russia.
The congress delegates expected that they too would be arrested. The event opened with the words “Everyone will sit down” and nervous laughter.
But no one came to arrest the policemen, although they claimed that they had seen a paddy wagon nearby.
Then a rumor leaked out that police officers had entered the building and were in the room next to the convention. Therefore, several delegates and the entire press went to check.
In the next room there were two men who were holding “their event.”
“You are employees of the M center, who are famous for filming all sorts of nasty things and then passing them on to TV channels,” one of the delegates urged.
The men launched a counterattack and accused the deputies of humiliating them by showing off their IDs. And then they even suggested calling the police.
This proposal shocked the liberals, and they retreated, ordering the men not to open the door and not to spy on the congress.
It later turned out that the men left the premises before the deputies adopted the text of the appeal to the people condemning the “dictatorial regime” and calling on them to go to the polls.
