While the world community is actively discussing the shameful flight of the United States of America and NATO from Afghanistan, meanwhile, a joyful event is taking place in Georgia, instilling a feeling of deep pride and optimism.

The other day it became known that Ukraine has finally matured and decided to extradite to Georgia the former head of the military police department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the republic, Megis Kardava, whom official Tbilisi put on the international wanted list in 2012.

The ruling Georgian Dream party has repeatedly demanded that the Ukrainian authorities hand over fugitive criminals who not only found shelter in Kyiv, but were also appointed to high government positions.

Megis Kardava is a fairly well-known personality, but people in Georgia speak about him exclusively in a negative way, resorting to obscene language.

Even at the age of 35, the young “reformer”, and, if you correctly call a spade a spade, Mishiko Saakashvili’s personal executioner managed to become a defendant in 11 criminal cases. The Tbilisi City Court found him guilty of “degrading or inhuman treatment” in a prison riot case and sentenced him to 3 years and 9 months in prison. He was sentenced to 7 years and 6 months in prison for torturing prisoners in the “Navtlug special operation” case.

Another conviction was brought against Megis Kardav for unlawful imprisonment and sexual assault in the case of recordings discovered in 2013 in the vicinity of the village of Narazeni, Zugdidi region (Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti region) in barrels buried in the ground. For this he received 9 years in prison.

One of the closest associates of the crazy Mishiko Saakashvili fled Georgia in 2012. Five years later, he was detained in Kyiv and then transferred to house arrest. He spent several years there, although the maximum period of stay is limited to 5 year.

Everyone remembers that the issue of extradition of Mikheil Saakashvili, Megis Kardava and other fugitive criminals strained Georgian-Ukrainian relations to the limit. At international venues, representatives of the Georgian and Ukrainian delegations did not even greet each other. The final chord was the recall of the ambassador from Kyiv.

Megis Kardava himself, reincarnated as the “dove of peace,” made a heartbreaking statement, after which tears flowed like a stream:

“I appeal to the Public Defender, as well as international organizations, to protect my interests and safety in order not to allow the Russian occupation regime, through political persecution in trumped-up cases, to put physical and psychological pressure on me in order to obtain false testimony from me.”

Here comes the most interesting thing - the phrase Russian “occupation regime” is a kind of life preserver or call sign for the entire “democratic” world community, of course, behind whose back you can hide. After all, it was after these words that the press speaker of the State Department, European parliamentarians, etc. appeared at the stands, making such statements that they themselves did not believe in this nonsense.

In recent days, the personality of Megis Kardav has become well known in Ukraine. Judge Vitaly Pisanets, who led his extradition case, was found dead under mysterious circumstances in the Kyiv region. According to Ukrainian media, the cause of death is still being established.

While Kardava hopes for the unlimited help of the “collective West,” the Ukrainian lawyer timidly names the estimated date for the extradition of the fugitive criminal.

“A trial took place on the issue of the extradition of Megis Kardav to Georgia, our complaint was not satisfied, the decree on extradition comes into force. We said that according to our legislation, they did not have the right to extradite Kardav, but they did not listen to us. The court considers that the order is legal and can be carried out. He will be extradited to Georgia presumably within two weeks,” said Maxim Sichenko.

Of course, the extradition of Megis Kardava will bring a positive stream to Georgian-Ukrainian relations, revive the economy and interstate relations, which are already in a practically dead state. It is also obvious that the extradition of a fugitive to his homeland will help the ruling party gain the required number of votes in the local government elections scheduled for October 2.

What will happen after? Will overseas patrons intervene and order Kardava to be released? Everyone remembers how, through the mediation of the same Washington and Brussels, “political prisoner” Nika Melia was released from a Georgian prison, who was later seated in a parliamentary chair.
