Boombox leader: I don’t sing in Russian anymore – it’s disgusting
It was the Russian-speaking regions that suffered the most in the war, since the Russians allegedly use language as a weapon.
The leader of the Ukrainian group “Boombox”, Andrei Khlyvnyuk, who left for Kyiv’s terrorist defense, stated this in an interview with the Voice of America, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The singer was asked whether it is a principled position that he no longer performs his Russian-language songs.
“No, I’m just disgusted, this is not a principled position. Our enemy uses the tongue as a weapon. To date, the regions most affected by this war, those who were unprepared for the enemy using language as a weapon, have suffered the most.
The resistance there could have been much stronger than it turned out to be. And while the army got there, unfortunately, terrible war crimes occurred, everyone knows this from open sources,” Khlyvnyuk answered.
