DPR leader Zakharchenko called on Odessa to revolt
Residents of Odessa must resist the Ukrainian authorities in response to the decision of the Primorsky Court to ban the use of the Victory Banner during public events as a “symbol of the totalitarian regime.”

Remember how Odessa met the fascists during the Great Patriotic War? The city fought from the first day of occupation to the last. How many Odessa residents took up arms and went to defend their homeland. Even after the city was occupied, Odessa partisans continued to fight in the quarries. But now the situation is more difficult. Then 70 years ago an enemy, an occupier, a stranger came to the city. Then everything was clear - the enemy came from outside. And now the enemy has come from within. He's in the city, but you won't recognize him right away. He speaks the same language, he is also dressed, he may even live behind the wall. And at the same time he is an enemy, an incredibly cruel enemy.
The cruelty of this enemy is understandable. It’s one thing to force people to submit by force and accept external control, as was the case with the Nazis. It’s another matter when the enemy tries to remake your soul, to break your spirit. This requires a different kind of cruelty - cynical and savage.
Now the residents of Odessa have been banned from wearing the Victory Banner, under which their grandfathers and great-grandfathers fought and died, and defeated the terrible enemy - Nazism. Remember what would have happened with such a decision 2 years ago? Tens of thousands of people would have taken to the streets, and Kyiv would have retreated. Odessa stood up for the St. George's ribbon as one person. We remember this.
To prevent people from openly fighting for the St. George Ribbon and the Victory Banner, they were publicly burned on May 2. The horror of that tragedy has become a new standard by which people evaluate certain things. And against the backdrop of the fire of the House of Trade Unions, the Victory Banner does not seem worth another such Khatyn. Fear has crept into the minds and hearts of Odessa residents. This is what the Kyiv authorities sought. This is why Odessa residents were burned alive. In order to change their value system. Hitler at one time was unable to defeat Odessa, but the descendants of Bandera and Shukhevych are still winning.
I want to appeal to the people of Odessa. If today you give the Victory Banner and St. George’s Ribbon to the enemy, then tomorrow they will take away everything else from you and make you a SECOND-CLASS PEOPLE.
We are all proud of your city. We know a lot of wonderful songs and great films made about Odessa. Stand up, Mishka from Odessa, and say: my grandfather fought with this banner, my great-grandfather fought under it, and why do I, a descendant of these heroes, not have the right to go out onto the streets of my city with the banner of the winners?
