“The police have been with us almost everywhere since the first day,” Makovich assured. – Its bosses, basically, have already realized that they are on the territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic and are obliged to do everything possible to ensure that there is order here and no criminality. The duties of the police are to maintain order in crowded places. There will be congestion at the referendum. The police, together with our vigilantes, will keep order. Squads are being created everywhere.”
Speaking about plans for the future, Makovich said that after the referendum, elections of prosecutors, heads of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Security Service, and courts will be held. “Then there will definitely be new parliamentary elections. Then we will adopt the Constitution,” he says.
“Nobody is talking about a sudden cessation of economic ties with Ukraine,” Makovich assures. - It's simply impossible. Pensions and subsidies come here. Hence the taxes and fees. So far everything is working. We did not block any program so as not to cause harm. But if something happens, there will certainly be people ready to support us at this turning point.”
