The Xinhua agency reported this today, citing an official source.
The world press watched with alarm the meeting of US and Chinese leaders in Florida.
It is known that Donald Trump allowed himself aggressive statements against China during the election race. Experts feared that his victory would lead to a trade war between the world's two largest economies.
A new cause for concern was the American attack on an airfield in Syria, which occurred while the two leaders were having dinner. Journalists joked that Trump served “tamahawks” for dessert.
“China, which for years, together with Russia, has repeatedly opposed the US resolution against Assad, has not yet responded to the Pentagon’s sharp move, but experts say the reaction will be sharply negative,” the British Guardian wrote at night.
But the worries were in vain. The morning after the attack, the leaders of the two states began negotiations on the situation surrounding the DPRK's missile and nuclear programs, as well as issues of disputed territories in the South China Sea and bilateral trade relations.
