Chisinau, September 08 (PolitNavigator, Petr Alekseev) – In 2020, the Republic of Moldova will be ready to join the European Union. This was stated by the leader of the Liberal Democratic Party of Moldova (PLDM) Vlad Filat at a large-scale rally of supporters of European integration, which took place the day before in Chisinau on the Square of the Great National Assembly.

Filat publicly committed himself to making the Republic of Moldova a full member of the European family. “This is our task for the coming years. I am aware of the weight of the words I spoke,” said the PLDM leader.
Filat noted that these are “real goals” and that “the European future extends its hand to Moldova.”
“Our future is in our hands, and we need to work for it. Europe is what will allow Moldova to become strong. For us, the European future means prosperity and a better life,” Filat said, as quoted by TV7.
