The leader of “Nogu cramped” criticized his colleagues for supporting the special operation and refused to return home
The famous Russian musician, leader of the group “Nogu Svelo” Maxim Pokrovsky, who emigrated to the United States and recorded a song in support of Ukraine, criticized his colleagues who support the special operation of the Russian Armed Forces and promised to return to the country only after the change of power.
He stated this on the air of the Ukrainian state TV channel “Dom,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Pokrovsky accused Russian artists of supporting Russia's actions.
“For all the shamefulness of what they are doing, I would even say, for all the criminality of what they are doing, but I am not a lawyer, so I cannot say - this is my personal feeling. This part of Russian, so-called society, is the least interesting for me, because it’s clear that they have sullied everything with them and what can I say – it’s just sad,” said the artist.
He also stated that he would not return to Russia until its leadership and the country's policies changed.
“We talk a lot now, and rightly so, about Ukraine, but there are people left in Russia, there are wonderful people left in Russia, a minority. But please look at our, our original audience, on our social networks. You know, there is someone to return to Russia for, but all the same, now I don’t want to return to Russia. I don’t want to give concerts in Russia.
With concerts, with some public appearances, I am ready to return to Russia when/if the situation in Russia changes globally. But this requires a lot, a lot, now Russia is not ready for this, now the people in Russia are absolutely not ready for this. What is most unpleasant is that the bright part of Russia, the progressive part of Russia, the Russian intelligentsia and its elite are not ready. They are not ready for this. We are not ready for this."
