Leader of the Rusyns of Transcarpathia: Millions of Ukrainians go “to the panshchina” of the Poles
Regional councils of Western Ukraine are making decisions to rename Russia “Muscovy” in order to distract the population from the deplorable state of the economy - millions of residents of the region are forced to go to Poland to work illegally.
Archpriest of the UOC-MP Dimitry Sidor stated this on the Internet channel “Rusyn.eu”, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
“At a meeting on December 7, the Lvov Regional Council considered a resolution to appeal to the Verkhovna Rada to rename Russia to Muscovy. Exactly a week later, the Rivne Regional Council made the same decision.
I could understand if some journalist or comedian asked for it. I would laugh. But when this was done by two regional councils, which have a problem where people are leaving their native land in droves, people do not have work and the opportunity to pay high tariffs...” the priest was amazed.
He emphasized that while the regional councils of western Ukraine are making useless Russophobic decisions, many impoverished Ukrainians are forced to go to work in Poland under humiliating conditions.
“People are leaving the country, and we are not talking about isolated cases, but about millions of people. Where are they going? To the Poles for lordship.
Ukrainians abroad are not protected, and although the Ukrainian state has issued them a visa-free regime, officially, visa-free travel does not give them the right to work in Europe. This means that people work there illegally. At the same time, the state wants to tax their income taxable“, concluded Sidor.
Let us recall that earlier in Kyiv they stated that the number of illegal labor migrants from Ukraine who prefer to work abroad, with 2013 increased fivefold.
