The brutal crime became known only now from Korsakova’s relatives. The woman herself is now in serious condition in a hospital in Novocherkassk.
Two attackers attacked Korsakova at the entrance to the house where she had recently lived. Previously, the woman moved to Russia from the Lugansk city of Shchastya. There her house was destroyed during the fighting.
The woman was stunned with a strong blow to the back of the head and severely beaten. Doctors diagnosed the victim with displaced fractures, a traumatic brain injury, a concussion, numerous swelling and bruises, and a disfigured face (they tried to tear her mouth apart). The victim lost sight in one eye.
The official police version is robbery. Although, according to the victim’s relatives, Lyubov Korsakova was not robbed: she had everything that was with her at that time, including a gold chain with a medallion, a telephone, a bank card and other personal items. The victim's bag was found 20 meters from the scene of the beating. Korsakova herself and her relatives believe that the attack is related to her professional activities. At the moment, the crime is being investigated in police department No. 2 of Novocherkassk.
