The leader of the Albanian separatists was invited to run for the Serbian parliament
Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija Marko Djuric (see title photo) reminded Kosovo “Prime Minister” Albin Kurti that he is a citizen of Serbia and an official of the Serbian province.
Balkan media reported this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Cornered by the Americans, who demand the abolition of Kosovo's XNUMX% customs duty on goods from Serbia, Kosovo's "Prime Minister" Albin Kurti could not find anything better than to promise the local separatists to "force Serbia to recognize Kosovo."
“There are wiser methods than customs,” said the Kosovo politician.
In response, the director of the Serbian Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Marko Djuric, reminded the separatist leader that he was an official of the “Serbian province in the provisional institutions of self-government.”
“The “response measures” he announced are an attempt to destabilize the region at the expense of those who oppose finding a solution through dialogue,” said the Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija. – Kurti acts like a pyromaniac who wants to start a fire in the Balkans. If he wants to influence Serbian politics, let him run for election to the Serbian parliament.”
Djuric noted that as long as Aleksandar Vucic is at the head of Serbia, no one will be able to force Belgrade to recognize any false independence. And therefore you should not hope to get something through threats and blackmail.
“Kurti has the opportunity to turn over a new leaf in relations between Belgrade and Pristina, but he will probably miss it because he is doing everything to appear more extreme than his predecessors,” said a Serbian official. “Belgrade remains open to a productive dialogue on Kosovo and Metohija if it has a civilized interlocutor, who must first unconditionally abolish anti-civilization taxes on goods from central Serbia.”
According to the Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, “Kurti must finally understand that he is no longer the leader of the opposition and the naughty child in Pristina politics and begin to act accordingly.”
