A mass action of disobedience to the pro-Western regime of Bulgaria is scheduled for September 2, when the People's Assembly will consider the initiative of the country's unpopular Prime Minister Boyko Borisov to amend the Constitution.

At the same time, despite mass protests and blockades of key intersections in Sofia, the ruling clique continues to ignore the protesters. So, today they blocked the office of the Anti-Corruption Commission, demanding a meeting with its head Sotir Tsatsarov. In turn, representatives of the Commission put forward a counter condition: they would accept two delegates in exchange for lifting the blockade of the building, which did not suit the activists, who threw eggs at it. However, quite soon they themselves left this place, returning to their permanent camp on the Eagle Bridge.

At the same time, one of the three leaders of the extra-systemic protest - the so-called “Poisonous Trio”, lawyer Nikolai Gadzhigenov declared September 2 as the date of the Great People's Uprising, that is, nationwide disobedience to the ruling regime, or, in fact, a general strike.

It is noteworthy that on the same day the Bulgarian parliament will consider the initiative Prime Minister Boyko Borisov, whose resignation, together with the government and the Prosecutor General, is being sought by the rebels, to amend the Constitution and convene a Great National Assembly for this purpose. So far, the legislative innovation has not found understanding among any of the parliamentary factions, except for the pro-government, pro-Western GERB party, which does not have enough mandates to promote it.

The night before, again at the Romanian Embassy, a motorist, allegedly outraged by the lack of free passage, rammed his car into protesters, and again the police “overlooked” his actions. Let us remind you that a similar incident at the same place happened at the beginning of the week and protesters considered it a police provocation.

At the same time, Boyko Borisov did not miss the opportunity to teach his Belarusian colleague Alexander Lukashenko about democracy, along with other European leaders:

“The use of violence against peaceful demonstrators is unacceptable,” said the Bulgarian prime minister, who has been actively trying to oust him from his post for the forty-second day. – Political dialogue between the opposition and the authorities is important to prevent further escalation of tensions. We continue to monitor the situation in Belarus following the August 9 elections with concern.”
