Kosovo separatist leaders: “We don’t want technical dialogue, we want recognition”
Kosovo “President” Hashim Thaci, who returned from The Hague, and “Prime Minister” Avdula Hoti held a meeting, during which they identified tasks for continuing the “dialogue” with Serbia.
The separatist leaders are convinced that the result of the negotiations can only be recognition by Belgrade of the independence of the seized southern Serbian region.
As the PolitNavigator correspondent reports, the head of the Kosovo “government” Hoti, who held negotiations that were not very successful for him in Brussels, where he conceded onslaught Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said that he “informed the president about the meeting.” He also intends to give a report on this matter to the separatist parliament today.
“We will ensure that the dialogue does not get stuck at a technical level, but moves towards mutual recognition,” Hoti said. “I hope that we will complete this process in the coming months.”
The fact that the dialogue should not be reduced to technical issues was also noted by the war criminal Thaci, who, apparently, does not threaten guilty verdict. He greeted appointment negotiator for Pristina, veteran of the separatist movement Skender Hyseni.
“I welcome the appointment of Hyseni as coordinator. It is in the interests of this dialogue and Kosovo to conduct it in such a way that we can move towards a European perspective. We need to have a debate, we need to get to know each other, and in no case stoop to a technical level, because that means the status quo and an agenda in the interests of Serbia. This means that everything needs to be done in such a way that mutual recognition occurs,” Thaci added.
