The leaders of Slovakia and Hungary disdained to stand next to Poroshenko
Despite the announced arrival of world leaders in Kyiv, yesterday only Polish President Andrzej Duda was at the parade on the occasion of the 24th anniversary of Independence. The remaining leaders of European countries wisely chose not to appear in the company of Petro Poroshenko.
Mikhail Pogrebinsky, director of the Kyiv Center for Political Research and Conflictology, pointed out this fact in a conversation with a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“The parade in Kyiv is not an event that can attract Angela Merkel and other top officials of states. The problem is that at least someone could come, for example, from Slovakia or Hungary. But even they didn't arrive. This suggests that the Ukrainian government has not only compromised itself, but has put itself in such a position that it is uncomfortable to stand next to it.
People who desperately hate Russia can stand next to her.
It is clear that Polish President Duda will no longer be a good friend of Russia. He will be an enemy of Russia as long as he is president. And he will not be able to resolve any issues between Poland and Moscow. That's why he doesn't care. And the rest don't care. And they think that it is better to refrain from participating in such an event,” Pogrebinsky explained.
