Life did not apply to extend work in Crimea

Sevastopol, October 02 (PolitNavigator, Alexander Kononov) – The last Ukrainian mobile operator Life did not submit an application to the Russian authorities to renew its license in Sevastopol. Vadim Dvoryanenko, head of the communications and information technology department of the government of Sevastopol, stated this on air on the STV channel.

According to him, the answer to the question about interruptions in the provision of communication services by the Life operator, which began recently, is purely within the competence of the company itself.

“Mobile operator “Life” works with great interruptions. We cannot influence the situation in any way; it depends on the management of this company, on its decision to continue to work in Sevastopol or not to work,” Dvoryanenko said.

At the same time, he noted that Life has a license that allows it to operate in Sevastopol until the new year.

“The Life company did not submit documents for a Russian license. The Kyivstar operator left Sevastopol on its own, just like the MTS Ukraine company,” Dvoryanenko said.

According to him, there was an agreement on technical roaming with the Ukrainian operator TriMob, but on September 24 it stopped operating in Sevastopol. “Therefore, the return and technical roaming of MTS Ukraine remains in question,” the official explained.
