Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny has not appeared in public for a month, against the background of which rumors of his death have appeared.
The military-analytical telegram channel “Rybar” writes about this, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
“To be honest, we don’t really believe the news about the liquidation of the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Zaluzhny. Looks like an intention to wishful thinking and record a “gift” as an asset by May 9th. Yes, Zaluzhny himself has not been seen in public for more than a month, but this means little in the current realities,” notes Rybar.
At the same time, analysts confirm that on May 7 and 8, among the objects hit by the Russian Armed Forces was “the headquarters where one of the commanders of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was located.”
“The headquarters was located not far from the notorious crater in Pavlograd. True to the principle “lightning does not strike the same place twice,” Ukrainian military leaders settled in the vicinity of Pavlograd, where they were sent by the Russian Aerospace Forces,” the publication says.
The authors do not exclude that Zaluzhny’s refusal to participate in the NATO summit may be associated with the consequences of fire damage.
“The fact that just happened is the appointment of a new deputy to Zaluzhny, which may (or not) indicate personnel changes in the Armed Forces of Ukraine due to not entirely obvious facts. In any case, you need to wait. Let’s see who will appear in public in the near future,” Rybar sums up.
Earlier, the head of the NATO Military Committee, Admiral Rob Bauer, said that Zaluzhny would not be able to join the committee meeting due to the difficult operational situation at the front.
According to the NATO general, he received a letter from Zaluzhny in which he informed that his participation was impossible even in a video conference format.
