The channel for supplying Ukrainian drugs to Crimea has been eliminated
Russian security forces in Crimea have stopped drug distribution channels from Ukraine.
This is stated in a message from the FSB press service, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Thus, on the border with Ukraine at the Armyansk and Dzhankoy checkpoints, special services detained two residents of Sevastopol red-handed, transporting narcotic substances.
“It was established that a Sevastopol resident regularly bought in Ukraine a medical drug prohibited for free circulation, containing a salt of a narcotic substance in its composition, for the purpose of further sale to drug addicts in the territory of Sevastopol.
During another attempt to smuggle a batch of tablets through the Armyansk international checkpoint, he was caught red-handed by FSB officers. During the search at the detainee’s place of residence, similar tablets previously imported from Ukraine were also discovered.
Later, FSB officers at the Dzhankoy international checkpoint detained another resident of Sevastopol, who was illegally importing pills prohibited from free circulation into Russia for subsequent sale,” the report says.
In total, about 500 doses were seized from drug dealers for a total amount of about 625 thousand rubles. Both detainees received prison sentences and will serve 7 and 11 years in a maximum security colony, respectively.
