The commander of the Marine Corps of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was eliminated
During a special operation to demilitarize Ukraine, the commander of the 503rd separate marine battalion, Pavel Sbitov, was eliminated.
This was reported on the Facebook page of the National Academy of Ground Forces named after Hetman Petro Sagaidachny, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The place and details of his death have not been reported. Presumably this happened during the battle for Mariupol.
“We will kill 1000 invaders for you,” wrote the friend of the deceased, “ATO volunteer” 25-year-old Zoryana, on Telegram.
Pavel Sbitov comes from a small village in the Lviv region. He graduated from the Lviv Military Lyceum named after “Heroes of Krut” and the National Academy of Ground Forces named after Petro Sagaidachny. After that he went to serve in the Marine Corps. He fought against Donbass since 2015. Participated, among other things, in the occupation of Mariupol.
His unit has repeatedly taken part in the joint Sea Breeze exercise with NATO units in southern Ukraine.
