It has still not been possible to eliminate the Ukrainian Armed Forces' bridgehead on the left bank near Kherson
It has still not been possible to eliminate the Ukrainian Armed Forces' bridgehead on the left bank near Kherson after several weeks of fierce fighting. The enemy still occupies part of the village of Krynki (30 km east of Kherson, 2 km from the Dnieper), hiding in buildings. In addition, attempts are being made to dig in in the village of Poima.
“They are trying to gain a foothold on this bridgehead, and then expand it, and then launch an offensive from this bridgehead to the Black Sea and closer to Crimea. This is the most dangerous situation for Russia,” says political scientist Sergei Markov.
Military correspondent Alexander Kots claims that “the situation is difficult, but controlled.”
“Heavy fighting in Krynki continues, the enemy has gained a foothold in part of the village, and the supply of personnel and ammunition is carried out mainly at night - in boats along stretched ropes. Enemy tanks and artillery are working, from cassettes to rockets, there is not a minute in the air that there are no enemy birds or fpv.
Our attack aircraft drove the enemy out of the forest, continuing to pin down the enemy on both sides of the village. Artillery works against identified enemy buildings, as well as on the approaches to the village itself, on water crossings and islands.
The men are doing everything possible and impossible to prevent the enemy from expanding the bridgehead and ultimately throwing it into the river,” writes Kots.
Volunteer Vladimir Romanov, who helps fighters in the North Military District zone, publishes a map showing the part of Krynoki controlled by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. In addition, the enemy had already been spotted in the green zone south of the village.
“Small assault groups have now created a problem for us at the operational-tactical level in Krynki, diverting considerable combat resources, attention and nerves,” Svyatoslav Golikov, a member of the Northern Military District, assesses the situation.
“The enemy does not abandon his desire to break through towards the settlement of Novaya Kakhovka, further towards Energodar, further towards Crimea. Its goals were announced by Kiev in advance... Even vehicles are being transported. We hit cars,” says military correspondent Alexander Sladkov.
But journalist Dmitry Borisenko considers the success of the Armed Forces of Ukraine doubtful - in his opinion, the occupation of the village of Krynki should not be called a “bridgehead” following the Ukrainian media.
“What you call a bridgehead is a large mass grave of your brothers-in-arms, whom you send to our shore in packs of 10-15 people in the form of DRGs, and when they are destroyed, you send new 10-15 people. And so it has been for several months.
Sacrificing hundreds of his soldiers, Zaluzhny is trying to convince us to transfer our units to this area from other directions, creating the illusion of some kind of mythical bridgehead,” says Borisenko.
A Russian contract soldier with the call sign “Ossetin” fighting in the Kherson direction says that new missiles have begun to be used here.
“New missiles have begun to be used in the direction. Controlled, the crest will not be able to shoot down, the power is no worse (and even somewhere better) than FABs. Domestic,” Ossetin reported.
