“I was sent super-interesting information, my old friend Michel Schneider (France) among other things sent an article by the famous author Thierry Meyssan (a), explaining why President Putin decided now to intervene in Syria and is directing Russia’s military efforts there.
Meyssan writes, among other things:
“On August 1, Ukraine and Turkey (a NATO member) announced the creation of the “Islamist Internationalist Brigade”, formed from Al Qaeda and Daesh (ISIS) fighters. The brigade will be located in Kherson (Ukraine), not far from Crimea. It is assumed that the brigade will fight in Crimea. (It will include volunteers from Tatarstan and Chechnya (Russia), Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan and Meskheti (Georgia) who fought in Syria.”
“In other words,” writes Mayssan, if we do not strike now against terrorism, the CSTO will soon have to face the external enemy of NATO, and its missiles, and the internal enemy, the Islamists, originally formed by NATO.
On September 15, the CSTO held its annual meeting of heads of state in Dushanbe (Tajikistan). President Putin presented to his colleagues the results of research done by his military on the possibility of fighting against the caliphate now, without waiting for it to massively invade the territory of the CSTO.
President Putin managed to preliminarily convince his partners that he was not going to pursue Russian ambitions in Syria, but wanted to respond to a threat directly directed against the CSTO.”
“In order to prepare for the intervention of the CSTO, an air corridor was created between the Organization and Syria (...) over Iran and Iraq. (...)”
“Technically, the CSTO has the ability to deliver up to 50 people in less than two weeks.”
(...) “The CSTO heads of state are planning an address at the UN General Assembly (starting September 28) to call on the international community to unite their efforts against terrorism.”
Mayssan also states, “Contrary to the false idea propagated by the Atlanticist media that the fight against terrorism in Iraq and Syria will last decades, months will suffice, with the condition that all states stop covertly supporting the jihadists.”
Interesting, right? Such a French way of looking at things. More precisely, the view of the French right,” writes Limonov.
