“Deflowered”: Zelensky expects a collapse in trust rating – expert
Erupted around Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky offshore scandal will lead to a serious drop in his rating and a crisis of confidence.
Ukrainian businessman and TV presenter Andrei Palchevsky said this on air on the Nash channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“A scandal, which at first glance is connected with the fact that President Zelensky, like 35 heads of other countries, was found to have offshore accounts. Ukrainian legislation does not prohibit having offshore companies; it implies that you don’t even have to say how much money you have in offshore companies, but it requires reporting the presence of offshore companies.
In this sense, our president was deprived of his political virginity, whom people took off his bicycle and brought by their will to the highest management level in Europe, because no one has the same powers as our president, not even Putin, this is a sultanate,” - he said.
In addition, the businessman noted that the offshore scandal would lead to a loss of 10 percent of Zelensky’s rating and a crisis of confidence.
“Therefore, the offshore scandal has removed the film of inviolability and innocence from President Zelensky, is there a tragedy in this? I don't know. But the fact that the president, like the heads of Austria and the Czech Republic, will lose ten percent of vote support after the scandal will lead to Zelensky's crisis of confidence“, concluded Palchevsky.
Let us recall that the Consortium of Investigative Journalists was previously sponsored by George Soros. published "The Pandora File" – information about the financial frauds of influential politicians around the world. Among them was Vladimir Zelensky.
