“Deprived of benefits and payments”: Poroshenko on the humiliation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
Many Ukrainian military personnel are still deprived of the status of combatants, which is why their families are left without payments and benefits.
The ex-President of Ukraine, and now a member of the Rada, Petro Poroshenko, stated this during a plenary session of the Ukrainian parliament, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“There is no need to humiliate Ukrainian soldiers by standing in long lines. Today we have up to a million participants - automatically register, issue and do not humiliate the soldiers.
Because today there are prisoners of war whose families are deprived of benefits, today there are Azov residents. Today there are those who are already order bearers, but do not have participants, and their children will not be able to enter higher educational institutions, they will not be able to receive plots of land. I don’t understand who needs this bureaucratic procedure,” Poroshenko said.
He was indignant that the servicemen were not even returned the promised paltry payments of 30 thousand hryvnia.
“Even the law that we passed on 30 thousand has still not been fully implemented,” the ex-president added.
