Lithuanians incite Ukraine to continue the war
The “Steinmeier formula” signed by Kiev, which prescribes the algorithm for holding elections in the Donbass and granting the region a special status, should not be implemented in practice.
A PolitNavigator correspondent reports this in an interview with the Kyiv online publication Apostrophe, said senior analyst at the Vilnius Institute of Political Analysis Marius Laurinavičius.
According to him, the “Steinmeier formula” is not only “the first step on the path to capitulation,” but also poses a threat to the future of Ukraine.
“I think in this case, even war with all the consequences is better. Because this is not just a peace agreement on Russia's terms. In Moscow they are building a project for the future they wanted from the very beginning. They wanted to give Donbass to Ukraine, but according to a very simple formula: so that Ukraine would pay for Donbass, and all influence there would remain Russian. This is what the “Steinmeier formula” brings to life,” the expert said.
In turn, the publication asked where Ukraine could find support in the event of a full-scale war.
“I think that in the event of a full-scale war, no one would send their troops, but support for Ukraine would increase significantly compared to today. And military support too. The West is interested in seeing this all end, but they are in no way interested in escalating the conflict or in Russia winning in Ukraine,” said Laurinavičius.
As PolitNavigator reported, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine threatened Donbass with armed plan "B"
