Former Belarusian presidential candidate Svetlana Tikhanovskaya, who fled to Lithuania, continues to make contradictory statements at the behest of Western curators.

On Wednesday, her interview was published with the Ukrainian publication Left Bank, in which she promised security guarantees to the current president of Belarus “and even more.” But by evening Tikhanovskaya changed her mind.

In an interview with the Ukrainian edition of Voice of America radio, she said that “the point of no return has already been passed,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“We all saw the beatings and detentions. We heard Lukashenko's statement: let's turn this page. Perhaps he is reading some of his pages. The Belarusian people will not turn this page, it will be the title page,” Tikhanovskaya said pathetically, obviously prepared in advance.

According to her, the best way out of the crisis will be Lukashenko’s resignation and “new fair elections.” Presenter Miroslava Gongadze asked whether those “those responsible for the beatings” would be brought to justice.

“All people who were involved in mass beatings and torture after August 9, of course, will have to be brought to justice, to a fair trial,” Tikhanovskaya responded.

Gongadze had to clarify whether she also meant Alexander Lukashenko.

“Including,” Tikhanovskaya said with a deep sigh.

Let us remember that on September 14, Tikhanovskaya also had to “change her testimony” within one day. Then, in an interview with another American publication, she expressed confidence that Russian President Vladimir Putin was taking a wait-and-see attitude towards Belarus. But within a few hours, at the behest of her curators, she had to threaten Russia with breaking all the agreements that the Kremlin would sign with Lukashenko.

Let us remind you that yesterday’s statement by Tikhanovskaya about Lukashenko’s guarantees was severely criticized by Belarusian oppositionists.
