Lithuania demanded that Kyiv stop pumping oil and gas from Russia to the EU
Ukraine should stop the transit of Russian gas and oil so that Hungary stops blocking the sixth package of anti-Russian sanctions, due to the presence of an oil embargo in it.
About this on Minister of Foreign Affairs stated at the meeting of the heads of the Foreign Ministries of the European Union Lithuania's Gabruelius Landsbergis, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“One solution could be to help Ukraine disconnect from gas and oil from Russia, since the EU country that cannot help us come to a common solution depends on traffic from Ukraine,” Landsbergis said.
Russian political scientist Alexander Nosovich commented on this proposal to Ukraine.
“The energy of small and greyhounds: Lithuania demands that Ukraine (sic!) stop pumping oil and gas from Russia to the European Union. In my memory, this is the first time in recent months that a NATO country is demanding something from Ukraine, and not just promising to supply it with even more weapons.
I wonder how the EU will react to the demand to disconnect them from Russian gas? Probably, the arrogant lapdog will be quietly kicked under the table to shut up,” the expert suggested.
