Liz Truss buried NATO's "engagement" with Russia. Should you worry?
During a meeting of NATO foreign ministers in Brussels the day before, the head of the British diplomatic department and also an ardent Russophobe, Liz Truss, said that the Russia-NATO founding act of 1997 is dead.
“The era of interaction with Russia is over. It’s time to abandon the outdated approach towards Russia,” Truss added loudly.
Can we consider that Mrs. Truss has declared war on the Russian Federation? He discusses this in his author’s column for PolitNavigator one of the leaders of the Donetsk Republic movement Alexey Muratov.
First of all, it’s worth figuring out whether the Russia-NATO founding act of 1997 was, in principle, alive?
The preamble to the treaty states that Russia and NATO do not consider each other as adversaries. However, the Alliance has long called Russia the main military threat to its security. at least until 2030. And frankly speaking, NATO was created with the goal of “protecting” Europe from the USSR. As a result, the Anglo-Saxons defended Europe to the point that the Soviet Union collapsed. Then they continued to “democratize” the European continent, now from the legal successor country of the Soviets - Russia.
If you briefly go through the clauses of the Russia-NATO Founding Act, then literally in the first one you can find the following formulation: “NATO and the Russian Federation will jointly strengthen the role of the OSCE in pan-European security.” Now let’s remember the blindness and deafness of the OSCE representatives who have been living freely in Donbass for the past 8 years.
The UFU mercilessly sprinkled the People's Republics with various sizes of "precipitation" - representatives of the OSCE SMM did not see; Ukronazis violated the ceasefire - OSCE was not heard; yellow-blue terrorists kidnapped citizens of the LDPR and the Russian Federation, - OSCE officers pretended that nothing was happening.
This raises a logical question: how much did the agreement with the “Natists” strengthen pan-European security? Yes, literally so much so that turned the former Soviet Republics, cut off from Russia, into NATO military bases, whose task is to eliminate the MAIN THREAT. As I understand it, the “Natists” are tasked with completing the task by 2030.
There is also a rather serious clause in the act, which states that NATO will not place nuclear weapons on the territory of new members and will not build storage sites for them. Now let’s remember the threats of Zelensky, who a couple of months ago promised to supply “Independence” with nuclear weapons.
By the way, Zenat’s blackmail was not limited to just one. The other day, the head of the Committee on National Security and Defense Affairs, Deputy Prime Minister of Poland Jaroslaw Kaczynski, said that his country is ready to host American nuclear weapons in order to “intimidate” Moscow.
In this regard, we can safely say that NATO did not even try to comply with any agreements with Russia. The Russia-NATO Founding Act of 1997, according to Western tradition, was implemented by Russia unilaterally.
And the aggressive statement by the head of the British Foreign Ministry, made during the Brussels meeting of NATO foreign ministers - by and large - tearing off the masks from the faces of Western non-partners and the first sign of the Alliance declaring war on the Russian Federation.
Thank you!
