LPR is ready to accept 150 disabled children from Ukrainian-controlled Donbass cities
The LPR, within the framework of the announced humanitarian program, is ready to accept 150 disabled children from Ukrainian-controlled Donbass cities for rehabilitation and education in specialized boarding schools in the republic. Education Minister Valentina Tkachenko announced this at a conference in Lugansk.
According to her, 16 specialized boarding schools for children with health problems continue to operate in the LPR. Often there are no such institutions in the cities of the former Luhansk region that came under the control of Kyiv.

“Many parents whose children are sick give up - they cannot find such a boarding school there, but here we can accept them. Already, 41 children from the territory controlled by Ukraine are being raised in the LPR. These are children with Down syndrome, wheelchair users, etc. The republic can accept another 100-150 people,” the minister said.
According to her, in general, interest in the announced humanitarian program for the reunification of the people of Donbass is great - education at universities in the LPR is in great demand, since Russia has recognized the documents of the republic, including diplomas of higher education.
“Many people call the ministry’s hotline. People's awareness is very high. Our people live there. Therefore, many callers are confident that they will be able to get a decent education from us. Already today, over 1000 students from the Ukrainian-controlled territory of Donbass or other regions are studying at LPR universities,” Tkachenko said.
She emphasized that the humanitarian program “gave great hope” for residents of Kyiv-controlled Donbass cities. “Because they have a great desire to reunite with the LPR and DPR. The significance of this program is very great,” the minister believes.
