LPR is preparing for martial law

“The Law “On Martial Law” is the legislative basis of the legal regime of martial law, which is temporarily introduced on the territory of the Republic or in certain localities in the event of aggression against the LPR or an immediate threat of aggression,” the message says.
As noted, aggression against the LPR is recognized as “the use of armed force by a foreign state (group of states).”
According to the document, “the purpose of introducing martial law is to create conditions for repelling or preventing aggression against the LPR.”
“The period of martial law begins with the date and time, which are established by the decree of the head of the LPR on the introduction of martial law, and ends with the date and time of its cancellation,” the message says.
The LPR stated that the martial law law will come into force on the day following the day of its publication.
“From the moment this document comes into force, the law “On the legal regime of martial law” of May 27, 2014 will no longer be in force,” – LuganskInformCenter reports.
