“Servicemen of the 72nd mechanized brigade are gathering in Kyiv for the purpose of holding a meeting of no confidence in Poroshenko and his authorities, who have left their places of permanent deployment without permission.
Among the military’s demands for the Kyiv authorities to pay all due payments and release the brigade’s curator, oligarch G. Korban. Otherwise, the military is ready for radical actions, including the overthrow of the Kyiv government. The rally is planned for November 8 near the Verkhovna Rada building in Kyiv,” the LPR statement states.
“The state of affairs in the 72nd OMBR is becoming critical every day. The personnel, when communicating with local residents, make it clear that they are preparing for a new revolution, holding a third Maidan. More than half of the commanders of the 72nd mechanized brigade were associated with the opposition to the current president and were extremely dissatisfied with the policies of the country's leadership. This situation was further aggravated by the detention of the head of Ukrop, Gennady Korban. Since he personally provided financial assistance to the officers and soldiers of the 72nd Combat Brigade, he allocated at least 50 euros from his personal pocket. After which, not only business, but also strong friendly relations were created between the command and Korban. And at the moment, knowing this, Igor Kolomoisky promised, in the event of a march to Kyiv, the brigade commander of the 000nd mechanized brigade - the position of the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, having previously specified that in any case, Gennady Korban will become the president of the country,” the LPR press service claims.
