“The structure will be strengthened by employees of executive authorities, representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Prosecutor’s Office and the Ministry of State Security,” said Igor Plotnitsky.
The LPR, as well as a number of other countries, is by no means unfamiliar with the problem of corruption. To defeat it, an integrated approach is needed, says Plotnitsky:
“We intend to fight this problem not in any single ministry or department, but simultaneously in all government agencies.”
According to the leader of the LPR, the commission will work for 14 days. During this time, its employees must collect information about the illegal activities carried out by officials. Based on the data received, the commission will draw up a report, which will be sent to the head of the self-proclaimed republic, Igor Plotnitsky. He, together with representatives of the LPR law enforcement agencies, will decide to initiate criminal cases against officials who were caught taking a bribe.
“The activities of the anti-corruption commission will show us who is doing their job and how,” noted the head of the LPR.
