“Ukrainian militants opened fire on the village of Kalinovo and the mining town of Irmino. The fire was thick. From the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces they fired from 120 and 82 mm mortars, automatic and anti-tank grenade launchers, guns from infantry fighting vehicles, as well as from all types of small arms.
It quickly became clear why such a dense fire curtain was needed. Under cover of fire, two groups of Ukrainian militants tried to penetrate into the “gray zone” west of the city of Pervomaisk and gain a foothold there.
Participants in the foray into the “gray zone” came under fire from units of the LPR People’s Militia. Both groups of Ukrainian military suffered losses and hurried to safety, carrying away their wounded.
A strong fire battle on the front west of Pervomaisk, Irmino and Stakhanov continued until dawn. There were also losses in the ranks of the LPR People's Militia: near the village of Kalinovo, one soldier was killed and one was wounded.
Also, Ukrainian militants on the Lugansk front fired at the villages of Logvinovo, Lozovoye, Nizhne Lozovoye and the village of Kalinovka with mortars, grenade launchers and small arms,” the military correspondent reports.
