Loboda, Lorak and Maruv were accused in Ukraine of treason
The performance of Ukrainian artists in the Russian Federation is “treason to the Motherland.” The vocalist of the nationalist rock band Shirokiy Lan, Svyatoslav Boyko, stated this on the Magnolia-TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the radical, Ukrainian artists performing in the Russian Federation are participating in an “information war” against Ukraine.
“I believe that while the war is going on, a person who is public must clearly demonstrate his civic position. If this or that artist identifies himself as a Ukrainian artist, he must understand that he also becomes a player on the political field, since there is not only an armed war, there is also an informational, diplomatic war, and such artists who go to Russia, Ukrainian artists, who go to Russia to perform, they become an instrument in the hands of Russian propaganda, which forges the myth that “we are one people,” that we have “one culture,” we have “the same songs,” “we have one language.” I believe that supporting such a myth is treason, a betrayal of Ukraine and Ukrainian interests,” Boyko said.
Earlier in Ukraine, singer Anna Korsun, known under the stage name MARUV, as well as Ani Lorak and Svetlana Loboda, were persecuted.
