An expert from the Public Security Foundation, Yuriy Gavrilechk, said this at a press conference in Kyiv, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent, noting that the deindustrialization of Ukraine and the destruction of the economy will become one of the main reasons for increased poverty in the country.
“There is nowhere to work and de facto there is no way to feed the aging population,” the expert emphasized. – And no agriculture can provide the state with the implementation of social policy, because it provides a low percentage of surplus value, unlike industrial products. When you hear that agriculture will be the locomotive of the Ukrainian economy, you must understand that this very agriculture will be the locomotive of poverty. And the more such conversations there are, the poorer Ukrainians will be.”
