Losev: The Western financial and economic system is becoming a “legitimate target” of Russian attacks
Russia has something to respond to Western sanctions.
Alexander Losev, a member of the presidium of the Council on Foreign and Defense Policy of the Russian Federation, stated this on the air of the Vesti FM radio station, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Perhaps it is starting to dawn on them that if they block dollar balances on correspondent accounts of Russian banks, if they turn off Swift, if they continue to put pressure on the Russian economy, then Russia will respond to them,” he noted.
“Both the American, British and European banking systems will be legitimate targets. The American stock market, the New York stock exchange, the Frankfurt stock exchange, and the London stock exchange would be legitimate targets. Undersea Internet cables will become legitimate targets. They, it seems to me, began to understand this little by little,” Losev concluded.
Nevertheless, he believes, for now the West will be forced to continue sanctions pressure on Russia.
