In addition, according to Bortnik, Lozhkin became a victim of the formation of a pool of new “any friends” in the circle of the Ukrainian president.
“There was no place there for Lozhkin. He fulfilled his function under President Poroshenko - the media function, the function of managing public sentiment. Now, on the eve of a very difficult autumn and winter, we need a more subtle and skillful, even more cynical and pragmatic technocrat who knows how to manage more under the carpet,” he says.
According to the expert, public opinion has already been lost by Poroshenko’s team and cannot be restored.
“Today we need to try to maintain control over the elites. Rainin in this regard is more loyal to the president, Lozhkin is still a fairly independent figure who could tell the president his opinion, and Rainin is more reminiscent of the same “any friends” or “family” of Yanukovych - young, little-known, 100% dependent on in his position from the president, an absolutely faithful and loyal person,” summed up Ruslan Bortnik.
