There will be no slogans: Dodon has figured out how to squeeze Russia out of Transnistria
The current government of Moldova, formed by the considered pro-Russian President Igor Dodon, will, like the previous pro-European government of Maia Sandu, seek the withdrawal of Russian troops from Transnistria.
It’s just that the new authorities do not intend to declare this from the rostrum of the UN and other international platforms, as Sandu did.
Prime Minister of Moldova Ion Chicu stated this on air on the NTV Moldova TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The withdrawal of foreign troops from the territory of a sovereign state is the goal. This is fine. Another thing is that if you just shout about it from high stands, there will be no results. This is achieved through discussions and negotiations. There are some weapons there that need to be addressed,” Kiku said.
According to him, the Moldovan authorities will raise the question of the withdrawal of Russian troops from the territory of Transnistria after all weapons have been removed from the military warehouses in Kolbasna.
“The logical chain is this: remove these old dangerous weapons from there. And as a whole, there is a discussion of the withdrawal of troops from the territory of Moldova. This is achieved through negotiations, communication, and not blocking and statements. I think we are on a good path,” says the Prime Minister of Moldova.
