Her candidacy was introduced by the acting Head of the Republic Sergei Aksenov.

“On the eve of the session, I specifically looked up the essence of the concept of “ombudsman for human rights” in the Russian explanatory dictionary. It turned out that this is an official who protects citizens from the executive branch. How much do you need to love your people and believe in a glorious future for the head of the executive branch to introduce this law to the session,” Aksenova praised Lubin from the podium.

According to the law of the republic, the Commissioner for Human Rights is elected to this position for five years, for no more than two consecutive terms.
