Lutsenko clings to position to cover Poroshenko's retreat
The Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko refuses to leave his post after the change of president, because he protects his godfather Petro Poroshenko and his corrupt entourage from criminal prosecution.
The former Belarusian neo-Nazi, and now one of the leaders of the Ukrainian National Corps, Sergei Korotkikh, stated this on the Nash TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The militant noted that Lutsenko’s main task is to block criminal cases initiated against Poroshenko.
“For Lutsenko, the main problem is not whether the president has the right or not the right to remove him. He himself should resign, because the only thing he is doing now is covering up the atrocities of Poroshenko’s team. He does not allow any case regarding Poroshenko to develop. They are brought to the State Bureau of Investigation in huge numbers, to NABU. Then they get to the prosecutor's office and disappear. There are no further actions on these cases, and this is the position of the prosecutor.
It’s no secret that he is Poroshenko’s godfather, and this explains everything.
He has to go because he's covering up for the gang. The fact is that Poroshenko’s team, which remains in various branches of government and occupies various positions, has its own deputies, is now actively engaged in... Look, the Rada has finally begun to work every week. They are now engaged in planting all sorts of mines under Zelensky in order to complicate his presidency as much as possible, so that there is no possibility of catching up with them and conducting an investigation into them.
They bet everything on not being imprisoned. They go to any lengths to block all possible threats. They have a one-way road and they chose their side,” Korotkikh said.
