Lutsenko promises to double the salaries of Ukrainian prosecutors
The draft state budget for 2017 provides for a doubling of salaries for prosecutors.
This was stated by the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko at a meeting of the Committee of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe on Science, Education and Culture.

“The salaries of prosecutors should be increased. The draft state budget provides for a two-fold increase,” he said.
Lutsenko added that the salary increase should motivate young prosecutors to fight crimes.
The Prosecutor General stated in early September that employees of the prosecutor's office receive about 6-7 thousand UAH.
The draft state budget for 2017 was submitted to the Verkhovna Rada on September 15.
