Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko spoke about this.
“57 people have been brought to justice for participating in organizing and unleashing an aggressive war against Ukraine, 39 of whom are Russian citizens, 31 of whom are servicemen of the Russian Armed Forces. 16 people have already been convicted, six of them are citizens of the Russian Federation,” he reports.
Lutsenko noted that among the Russians who have been charged but not yet imprisoned, there are 14 generals and admirals and two colonels.
True, from Lutsenko’s words it is difficult to understand whether we are talking about people actually serving sentences in Ukrainian prisons or whether they are referring to absentee trials of representatives of the Russian authorities, widely practiced by the Ukrainian authorities. In particular, this is how Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu is now being “tried” in Ukraine.
