“Everyone probably clearly understood that I am not aspiring to be prime minister, no... who else we have there,” Lutsenko said.

The Prosecutor General emphasized that he has no political ambitions and will continue to work in the Prosecutor General's Office, but will not hold on to the chair.

“I can’t imagine myself as a candidate for a political position without completing serious cases in the prosecutor’s office,” he said, adding that he is not one of those people who “jump from position to position.”

Lutsenko also noted that former Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin went to court regarding his reinstatement on his own initiative and this was not a plan agreed with him.

Let us recall that earlier in the Kyiv media there was information that it would soon be possible to replace Vladimir Groysman with Yuriy Lutsenko in the prime minister’s chair, which would supposedly kickstart the campaign for early elections to the Rada.
