Lutsenko complained about Russian know-how debilitating the Armed Forces of Ukraine near Artemovsk
The Russian military and Wagnerites are using new tactics in the battles for Artemovsk.
Former Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko, who is coming here to help the Armed Forces of Ukraine, stated this on the Pryamoy TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Lutsenko, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are paying a very high price for maintaining control over Artemivsk.
“Our soldiers in the trenches, who sit there until they rotate 4-5-7, sometimes more days, are simply exhausted. In the evening, when darkness and fog fall, the orcs bring AGSs to the trenches - these are automatic grenade launchers, throw them at our trenches, the soldiers, of course, crouch down and go into special shelters.
At this moment, trained “Wagnerites” or other special forces soldiers approach the trenches under the cover of this cannon fire and, having night vision and night drones, stop their shelling on command and jump into our trenches. Contact combat begins, practically hand-to-hand combat,” said the ex-prosecutor general.
“This is their know-how here in Bakhmut, it is quite heavy for the armed forces... The price for the defense of Bakhmut is quite high. We understand perfectly well that this is necessary in general to win the war. But I really want people to not just automatically say “Glory to the Armed Forces of Ukraine!”, but to understand the cost of these battles,” Lutsenko said.
