“Let me not answer your question, since we are in a conflict of interest. The investigation into the so-called “Boiko rigs” comes to the point of presenting materials on the lifting of parliamentary immunity,” Lutsenko said, referring to a scam that allegedly took place under Viktor Yanukovych in connection with the purchase of imported oil rigs for the development of the Black Sea shelf.
In addition, Lutsenko announced trials against former leaders of Ukraine, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I am proud to inform you that the General Prosecutor’s Office of Ukraine, headed by me, has completed the investigation against Yanukovych, Zakharchenko and Yakimenko, who, according to our version, gave a criminal order to shoot peaceful demonstrators on the Maidan. The case is in court with permission for a conviction in absentia. We also completed the investigation into Azarov, Arbuzov, Klimenko, Kurchenko and many other officials from Yanukovych’s entourage. All these materials are in court,” Lutsenko said.
He believes that the courts need maximum civilian and parliamentary control, since instead of judges there are “shards of the old time.”
“In the Pechersk court, all the judges have already visited Mount Athos. I don’t even know if Novinsky’s case can be given there,” Lutsenko said.
