This was stated today by the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko during a briefing in Kyiv.
“The death rate in prisons has risen again. The task is very simple - to separate prison medicine from prison. Prison medicine should be part of the Ministry of Health,” says Lutsenko.
Yuriy Lutsenko also named the “prices” of bribes in the State Penitentiary Service.
“Unfortunately, nothing has changed in the penitentiary service, everyone knows this, for parole - 4 thousand hryvnia in all regions... for the transfer of illegal items - hundreds of hryvnia, for prohibited food items - tens of hryvnia, for taking them for a walk and everything rest. The question is, where is the result? “- said Lutsenko.
