Lutsenko: Savchenko was “surrendered” to the SBU by Western officers
Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko today at a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada repeated the accusation of preparing terrorist attacks in the center of Kyiv to seize power, brought forward by ex-ATO militant, and now deputy and hero of Ukraine Nadezhda Savchenko.
Lutsenko said that in 2017 Savchenko entered into a conspiracy with General Vladimir Ruban, who was recently detained on charges of transporting weapons from the DPR.
The Prosecutor General assures that no later than November 2017, Savchenko and Ruban allegedly reached an agreement with the leadership of the DPR on the supply of weapons.
On the eve of this, in the summer and autumn, Ruban and Savchenko were looking for accomplices among the military, Lutsenko said.
These were allegedly found among the officers of the special forces regiment in Khmelnitsky in Western Ukraine.
It was there, Lutsenko said, that they tested the Topaz sniper rifle, which is manufactured exclusively in the DPR and is capable of penetrating the armor of government vehicles.
“Thank God that these officers contacted the SBU and recorded the preparation of this action. Already at the moment when in November the first bead with weapons with Ruban and deputy Savchenko in the cargo compartment arrived from the DPR, it became clear that this was not about nonsense,” Lutsenko announced.
According to him, thanks to conscientious officers, surveillance was established on Savchenko and Ruban; cameras were secretly placed in his car, which made it possible to document the trip to Donetsk.
