Lutsenko once again threatens to give Firtash a “fun life”

Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko announced a report of suspicion and investigative actions in the case of non-payment of taxes by the enterprises of oligarch Dmitry Firtash, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

He said this in an interview with Ukrinform.

“In the coming months, Mr. Firtash will receive “good” messages from us from the prosecutor’s office. This will apply to regional gas companies, chemical plants and companies in the temporarily occupied territory,” said the Prosecutor General.

According to the official, “the impudence with which this citizen turns to Moscow with a demand to punish Ukraine has crossed all boundaries.”

“This means that this case lies in the pile closest to my right hand,” Lutsenko threatens.

Earlier, the head of the Department for Investigation of Particularly Important Cases in the Economic Sphere of the Prosecutor General’s Office, Vladimir Gutsulyak, said that the Department would offer the enterprises of oligarch Dmitry Firtash to voluntarily pay a tax debt of UAH 500 million.

The Prosecutor General’s Office established that during 2015-2017, in order to evade taxes, enterprises controlled by the Ukrainian oligarch Firtash: PJSC Severodonetsk Azot Association, PJSC Azot, PJSC Rivneazot and others, members of the GROUP DF business group, organized activities of fictitious enterprises and controlled insurance companies.
