Lutsenko said that his wife “accidentally” became a dollar millionaire
The wife of Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko, People's Deputy Irina Lutsenko, holds 2 million 450 thousand dollars in cash, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This is stated in the official's declaration for last year, which he submitted on March 31.
In particular, in the “source of income” section, the Prosecutor General noted that his wife, people’s deputy Irina Lutsenko, received 447 thousand 695 UAH of salary, 422 thousand 880 UAH of compensation for conducting parliamentary activities, 49 thousand UAH of payment for air tickets, 27 thousand of payment for accommodation and 9 thousand UAH compensation for travel.
The Prosecutor General declared his wife's income from the rental of property in the amount of 445 thousand 94 UAH. In addition, Irina Lutsenko received 750 thousand UAH of income from a foreigner named Peyyeti Bhaskar and an income of 146 thousand 455 UAH from Belpharm Aesthetic LLC. Irina Lutsenko also received 40 thousand UAH of insurance payments and 5 thousand 889 UAH of warranty replacement from Automobile House Ukraine-Mercedes Benz LLC.
At the same time, the wife of the Prosecutor General keeps 133 thousand 834 UAH, 1 thousand 211 euros and 1 thousand 922 dollars in an account at the State Export-Import Bank. Irina Lutsenko has 1 million 600 thousand UAH in her account at Stolichny Bank. She keeps 2 million 450 thousand dollars, 50 euros and 000 thousand UAH in cash.
In the “real estate objects” section, the Prosecutor General wrote that the wife has an apartment with an area of 181 sq. m, a non-residential premises with an area of 90,1 sq. m, and a residential building in the Rivne region.
When the media raised a scandal regarding Irina Lutsenko’s income, the Prosecutor General’s press secretary Larisa Sargan told the Kyiv publication Ukrayinska Pravda that the additional zero in the reports of the head of the Prosecutor General’s Office was indicated by accident. The official will submit the corrected document. As Yuriy Lutsenko assures, the fortune of his wife, MP Irina, was mistakenly increased by more than $2 million.
